Native Americans, pioneers and cowboys may have shaped the course of a young Oklahoma City but these days this oil-rich center has come into its own for other reasons, though never forgetting its old-west culture.
Salida was more than a railroad town; it was a railway hub, a central point for four rail-routes covering the four cardinal directions. This museum celebrates Salida's history with a collection of exhibits on the railway, as well as other artifacts from mining and old Salida households.
