Native Americans, pioneers and cowboys may have shaped the course of a young Oklahoma City but these days this oil-rich center has come into its own for other reasons, though never forgetting its old-west culture.
The hands-on Explorazone is all about making such seeming abstract concepts of light and sound completely comprehensible as well as completely fun. The Omnidome and planetarium shows range from the cultural to the astronomical, from cowboys to sacred stories. Several other museums are also located here: the Kirkpatrick Science and Air Space Museum, Red Earth Indian Center, and the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum.
