Art Deco architecture, amusement parks, an aquarium and Arkansas River scenery are just a few of the attractions cosmopolitan Tulsa has to offer the sight-seeing visitor, though be on the look-out also for note-worthy museums and historic artifacts.
Lubbock has more of a northern birding feel than certain parts of Texas; Dark-eyed Juncos, Fox Sparrows, Ring-billed Gull, and the Cedar Waxwing can be found with some frequency. Also expect Burrowing Owls, the Marsh Wren, the American Kestrel, and the Sharp-shinned and Ferruginous Hawk. Some birds common to other parts of Texas but uncommon to Panhandle Plains do show up at the Lubbock Lake Landmark, such as hummingbirds, the Common Nighthawk, and the Common Gallinule. The Mountain Plover also occurs at the Landmark on a somewhat uncommon basis.
