Native Americans, pioneers and cowboys may have shaped the course of a young Oklahoma City but these days this oil-rich center has come into its own for other reasons, though never forgetting its old-west culture.
History may as well not exist if it is not chronicled and the Greater Southwest Historical Museum keeps Oklahoma's history alive. Memorabilia is archived here and given a certain narrative context through exhibits. The Military Memorial Museum is part of this museum and collects artifacts and weapons of soldiering through America's history.
